With business class seats available on Qatar Air while British Airways is having a 30% Avios points transfer bonus, a rare door is open to travel to some amazing places in Summer 2023. I know that’s well in the distance but with that much notice and the flexibility (It costs just $25 to make a change up to the day before departure) that a rewards ticket confers, I’d suggest you stop, drop, and book if it might work for you. You’ve little to lose and MUCH to gain.
Between many options in Africa, the Middle East and the all-amazing Maldives, it’s likely you can piece together a dream vacation with this stacked deal!
In addition to the savings and increased comfort, there is greater flexibility with an award booking compared to a cash booking.

Be sure that you’re booking with Qatar if you seek Q Suites, as British Airways is an Avios Partner that flies many overlapping routes (to Africa in particular) and partner seats are for sale within these listings.

At their standard saver rates, q suites are in hot-demand. They’re widely considered the most luxurious business class experience, bar none. To get them, then, at a 30% discount is a rare treat. Note that you need Avios in the bank at Qatar (at least a single point) to be able to visualize the rewards availability.
I sent 1300 points to British Airways through the Chase portal and then swiftly transferred that point to Qatar here. That allowed me to peruse the reward availability.
So Just How Good Is This Deal?
Amazing, in a word! Let’s look at the math and you’ll see why:
Cash price of this ticket is $7,593.97 earning 32138 Avios points.
A Reward price is 170,000 Points + $534.47 or 119,000 UR Points + 534.47
This equates to 6 cents per point typically valued at 2 cents! In general, anything greater than 4 is amazing and 2-4 cents/point is considered pretty darn good.
Without the chase 30% kicker, the value of the reward is still fantastic at 4.15 cents/point.

If you happened to get in on the Chase Sapphire Reserved at its peak offering of 100,000 points with a referral from your significant other, you would have 115,000 points from that act alone.
If instead you got in on the most recent modest intro bonus, like I did, for 80,000 with a referral, you’d be at 95,000 UR points. The 20,000 points you’d get from the freedom flex or unlimited would get you the rest of the way. Rinsing and repeating with your referral partner would get you a honeymoon or escape to paradise for $500 in fees!
The Deal Method Takeaway
Qatar Q Suites are an unreal value at 6 cents per point. The kind of coup that seems too good to be true… but most certainly is! It’s even more unreal to consider that if your timing is right, you could get this $7500 ticket in exchange for a $95 annual fee and $4,000 spent (assuming you can self-refer)
This really demonstrates the power of The Deal Method perfectly! Timing, patience, and striking while it’s hot can lead to unbelievable benefits. We hope you can take advantage!
